Deniz Urgun is a doctoral researcher. She works at London South Bank University where she specializes in cross-cultural training for coaches.

Her research explores the cross-cultural challenges faced by sports coaches, and her training programme is informed by this research, expert input, and a comprehensive literature review on the impact of cultural training across various fields.

She also holds a Cultural Intelligence Facilitator Certificate, enabling her to help coaches improve their Cultural Intelligence (CQ) in sports settings. She works with Volleyball England as a Talent Pathway Sports Coach, supporting youth teams.
